Dancer snorted and stomped her foot at the comment Culver made to Fire. "Culver!" She yelled after him as he started to head down the hill. She looked to Rein and nodded, "we try to avoid them every time but a lot of the time one of their stallions seem to think its funny to attack my herd. Culver kept a foal from being killed last year." She said shacking her head, "your herd has never givin' us any troubles and that's probably why Culver didn't object to you entering the main herd." She said with a whip of her mane. Culver sighed and trotted back up the hill. Star looked after Culver as Dancer yelled at him. "Does he get in trouble a lot?" Star asked his sister. "Yeah I am" Culver answered Star coming up behind them. Star looked over at the large stallion. Star was pretty sure he could beat the stallion but he wasn't gonna test his theory. Dancer pinned her ears and lowered her head. "Culver keep your mouth shut and be thankful for the extra help everyone is giving us" she snapped at him. Culver looked down and nodded his head. "Yes ma'am" Culver said to Dancer and turned to Fire and Starry. He pretty much hated Fire but looked back to Dancer and took a deep breath. "I'm sorry Wanderer," he said in a nice voice. Starry snorted and pricked her ears back up when Culver came back up the hill to face her mother. She flicked her ears at Culver. "You didn't mean that, I know your not sorry about anything" she said with a snort. "Course I didn't, but theres always a chance I might mean it some time" Culver said with a smile and nod before heading down the hill before Starry could answer him. Dancer sighed. "Despite what he thinks, Culver is almost never a problem he is a real gentleman but he tends to think as things as his but hey that's just a stallion kinda thing I guess." She said with a smile. She looked to Fire, "he doesn't call you Wanderer out of disrespect he doesn't know your name that's all" Dancer said in her calm voice. "Culver isn't suited for Starry anyway and he will figure that out sooner or later, but I highly doubt he would fight for her." She said, she knew Culver pretty well and she knew he never fought unless it was to protect the herd. (I will make Culver's profile soon )

(okay ) Fire just whipped his head at Culver. He knew he didn't mean it before he even finished talking. He just accepted it though. He really didn't care. He was getting annoyed thpugh. The annoyed when his skin prickles and his eyes sometimes grow wide with hatred, and the thing he is annoyed at litterally feels as if it's getting under his skin. Cloud snorted and turned to Fire. She could see the expression in Fire's eyes, and talked quietly to him. "If anything here means anything to you right now, you would wipe that hateful and rude expression off your face." Even Cloud herself was taken aback with what she had said, but she couldn't take it back. Fire flattened his ears for a second, but still stopped with his expressions. It just mad him more annoyed though. He had to get away from the other horses. "Shouldn't we be going now?" he asked, trying to mask the annoyance in his voice. Rain could hear the annoyance in Fire's voice but ignored it. "Yes, I think we should. Dancer?" she turned to Dancer to see if she would lead the way. Cloud just shook her head at herself and once again ran back down the hill to round uo the foals. They were splashing around in the puddles and the mud, and Cloud leaded them away, knowing it was unsafe.

Dancer shook her head at all the tension running threw everyone today. Being stressed made her mean and so she tried not to let things stress her out. She looked to her daughter, "Starry! Ahead if your not back in fifteen minutes we will know its safe to go on." She said whipping her head. Starry nodded and ran full speed down the wet hill, when she reached th e bottom she jumped forward and took off at a top speed run.
Star watched with Starry run. "Wow..." Was he said. Dancer laughed moving to the edge the hill. "She is just like you Star" she said before jumping down the hill and running into her herd. She moved around making sure every one was where they were supposed to be for the move. Culver would spend the day trotting around keeping watch for any none-herd stallions and this meant he would more then likely run into Fire more then once in this day.
Dancer ran to the front of her herd. When Starry failed to return she reared into the sky as thunder shook the ground. "Let's move!" She yelled and started plowing forward just as lightning struck a tree and a limb went down. All the horses spooked. "That's enough its just lightning! Now let's go before its to late!" She called moving forward. Just as they left the valley Dancer stopped and looked behind her as the dames from the summer broke as a tree fell on it letting a good amount of water into the valley they had just left. The wind was harsh and the rain was heavy the valley would be flooded before to long. "Let's Keep moving" she called running back to the front of the herd.

Fire ran to the edge of the hill watching Starry run off. He sighed and stood near Dancer, waiting to hear when to go.
Rain snorted and also listened out for when to run.
Cloud stayed closer to the foals then she already was. The lighting was starting to freak them out, which made them louder, bhut atleast they stayed closer to Cloud.
Fire whipped his head and the whites of his eyes showed when the tree fell, but he ran down the hill, and just trotted along the outside of the herd to make sure noone had gotten hurt. He sped up to a slow canter when he saw everyone was fine, but he still went around the herd to make sure noone got hurt and that they all stayed together.
Rain ignored the tree and the spooked horses, she was used to things like that. She always had to act calm being the leader of a herd, so it didn't faze her one bit. She took off at a gallop down the hill, and slowed to match the rest of the herds pace. She had to make some people go faster or run ahed when the water came, it would flood the alley and move fast.
Cloud nudged the little foals and they went to the center of the herd. They all listened at first, but most of them tried to run off to their paents when they saw them. Cloud would bring them back to the rest of the foals and the older foals knew to stay with Cloud. She usually had to watch the foals, and she was used to their tricks and what they did. She never lost her attention on them, because if you did with foals, they would just simply run away.

Dancer watched every move she saw. She pricked her ears at every sound. She wasn't jumpy just alert nothing was more important then taking care of her herd. As they got about a mile away from the valley, she let the herd slow to a walk instead of a trot. She left the front to find Culver. "Culver keep your eyes alert and your ears pricked" she said to him whipping her head. Culver nodded and started making his rounds around the herd.
As he trotted around the herd he pondered what to do about Starry in his head. 'Maybe I could just challenge Fire for her.' He thought and then shook his head, he hatted fighting unless it was to protect his herd. 'Maybe I just need to let her go' he thought. He took and deep breath and headed around the herd more, keeping an eye out for enemy's. "Maybe I just need to let Starry go" he said to himself, "let her find her own happiness" he said, 'and I think Fire is the ultement happiness for her' he thought to himself as he trotted around the herd.
Star ignored all the caose around him. Rain was close to him, "I wonder what Culver and Fire are going to do about Starry" he said whipping his head.

Fire saw the herd slow to a walk, and he slowed to a slow trot. He had to go faster then them, or he would be trampled while running around them and making sure they were okay. A few horses away Fire thought he saw Culver, but he chose to ignore him. He didn't want to get in a fight and he knew that Culver would be keeping an eye on him anyways. He was supposed to look out for loners and other herds.
One of the foals ran ahead and almost into Fire. Cloud tried to get the foal quick enough but was too slow and had to stay with the rest. Luckily she saw Fire lead the foal back to Cloud and he stayed with the group again. 'why is he a loner when he's so responsible?' she thought to herself. It was a serious situation though. Everyone was being responsible.
Rain snorted and looked to Star. "I don't exactly know, I guess if they really loved her they would let her decide," Rain shrugged. "Unless it's too painful for them to leave her. Both of them will probably never truly leave her, just let someone else become her mate," she said thoughtfully. She thought that Fire and Starry should be together. They were just so alike, and it was obvious Fire was already protective. Culver could probably protect her better than Fire ever could, but would Starry be happy with him? Rain shook her head. This was why she didn't have a mate yet.

Dancer snorted and whipped her head. They had a break in the rain and the lightning Storm had moved off aways. She moved her pace to a canter and then a slow gallop. Slow enough for the foals to keep up but fast enough to make good time.
Starry galloped her side starting to heave. She slowed to a walk and started looking around watching for any signs of movement. She heard a twig break, then a snort and she stopped short. She glanced around, some one was close and they were not from her herd and it wasn't Fire either. She spotted what she was looking for, a giant black stallion was off in the distance and even from where she was, she could tell he was watching her, and then she realized who he was. It was Jackal, a stallion of the Sky Mountain Herd. She slowly backed up, breathing evenly, she knew Jackal very well and she didn't like him. She turned on her heels and took off towards her herd as fast as she could, Jackal wasn't that fast but he was strong.
Starry ran till she was soaked in sweat. She slid to a stop she saw her herd nearing to where she had seen Jackal. "Mother!" She yelled running down to them and sliding to a stop. "Mother, Mother! Jackal's up ahead and he's waiting for us!" She said before taking off to find Culver. "Culver!" She yelled running up to him. Culver felt happiness when he saw Starry, "Starry whats wrong?" He asked her. "Jackal's waiting for the herd up ahead." She said quickly. "Culver I'm scared" she said in a slightly shacking voice. The last time she had run into Jackal he tried to force her to join his herd, if it hadn't been for Culver then she would have had to go with him. Maybe that's why she just didn't up and chose Fire over Culver. On the one hand she felt a general closeness and friendship with Fire, he was just like her, had lots of her vices and strengths, but Culver was familiar, she knew he wanted to be with her and would never leave her, and he always protect her no matter what. Deep down inside her she knew who was right for her and it wasn't Culver, he was just a very loyal friend to her. "Starry its okay, I would never let him take you away from your family." Culver said "go find your mother and stay with her" he said with a nod. Culver moved to a canter and went around the now slow moving herd, when he found Fire he stopped in front of him. "Wanderer, Starry needs our help, even if you don't like me, I know you care a lot about her. There's a stallion from the Sky Mountain Herd, Jackal he wants Starry for his own and he will take her without a second thought he doesn't care if she doesn't want to go, he will just take her and last time I fought him I almost lost, he very strong and I might need your help." Culver said to Fire, he was seriously considering letting her go for good, seeing her with Fire was starting to make him realize how much he only wanted to protect her and be a loyal and good friend to her.
Star nodded in agreement with Rain. "Guess so, but some times when you love some one you can't let them go no matter what. I think Starry likes Fire but I think to her Culver is familiar, safe she knows him well, when she just met Fire today, he is more like her but he is wild, a wanderer, she might not choose him cause he is to much like her." Star said shacking his head. He hopped Starry would grow out of being like him, half the time he wished he could be different and not so head strong and stubborn. He jerked his head up when he heard Starry call to her mother, he looked around worriedly when the herd slowed to a walk and Starry was talking with Culver. Star couldn't help but notice she looked a little scared and nervous, and then Culver was talking with Fire about something he could tell was obviously very impotent . "Whats going on?" He asked more to himself then to Rain.
Dancer nodded and watched Starry talk to Culver. If Jackal really was up ahead that was not good, not good at all. Starry came to stand beside her mother. "Its okay we will all keep you safe" Dancer said to Starry. Starry nodded, if it meant keeping the herd safe she would go with Jackal even though she didn't want to, if it meant protecting her herd and family she would go. Her mind was still wandering around the thought of who she should choose, that is if she got the chance to chose. "I'm gonna go talk to Cloud for a bit" she said quietly. Dancer nodded and watched her daughter drift back into the herd with Cloud. "Cloud can we talk?" She asked her. Cloud was the only one in the herd she would confide in. "I need your help." She said lowering her head. "I-I-I... Really like Fire, but he is just so... So like me, and I don't want make a mistake in who I chose, and Culver's always been here for me whenever I needed him, he has always taken care of me, protected me, just always been here for me" she said slowly. Culver was her friend, but Fire she actually liked. "I just don't know what to do anymore, I just feel so scared and confused. Jackal's up ahead and last time he almost beat Culver! If he wins this time he will force me to go with him." She said with a slight tear in her eyes... Right then and there Starry relized there was nothing she wanted more then be with the one she loved with all her heart...

(I CAN FFREAKING TELL!)
FIre tensed up when he saw Culver. He felt like running, but he realized he stopped in his tracks. He puffed his chest out and tried to look strong. He knew this would come soon.... He knew Culver would want to- "Wait, what?" Fire asked. It took him awhile for it to register in his mind. But soon his ears were pinned back and he whipped his head angrily. "Then what are we standing around for?" FIre nearly demanded and shot ahead. He made sure to wait for Culver though. If Culver nearly lost to this stallion then Fire would probably die alone. He would do it if it meant saving Starry though.
Rain snorted. She had heard Starry. The whites of her eyes were showing now. She had heard the one thing that ever scared her. "She did not just say Jackal. She didn't," she said to herself, though she was sure Star could hear her. "He's worst then Buzz! Buzz is only a flirt, but this stallion might as well be a forcer," Rain said to Star. She hated him. Buzz had almost wanted to fight him once. Rain had to fight Buzz just to keep him from going. "If it involves Jackal and Starry then Jackal is probably trying to take her away," Rain said quietly to Star.
Cloud nudged Starry apolegetically. "Starry I can't help you," she said sadly. She stood thinking for a moment. "But I can tell you this. You have to go with what your heart tells you. You have a special little flame inside you that only some very special horses have," Cloud paused a moment to make sure all the foals were near. When she saw they were, she continued, "Fire is the only stallion that I can picture that can match that flame, to let you go with it. Culver just seems like the stallion that would try to protect you from that flame. He will try to keep you from that flame." Cloud looked at the foals again. They were being so good now that the lead mare's daughter was here. Cloud speaked quietly so the foals wouldn't hear. "You know Culver is going to fight him off for you. I saw him talking to Fire. Fire galloped ahead to find Jackal before Culver can even say anything back to him. I know that he will not be able to ever take you away from this herd, especially with those two stallions with us," Cloud said with another friendly nudge to Starry. Cloud had actually been surprised to see Fire run ahead so quickly. Especially when he looked nowhere near as strong as Star, Culver, or Jackal. He must have actually really, and truly, love Starry.

(LOL XDXDXD I am in such a good mood today I am so FREAKING HYPER!!! Its really long cause I was aiming for certain amount of words I got to over 1000!!!!! My longest post ever!!!!) Culver jumped back when Fire took off. He turned fast and took off after Fire, he caught up to him rather fast. "Come on its not to far," Culver said. Culver and Jackal had a set battle ground and that's where the herd passed threw every year, but up until last year they had never fought. But as soon as Jackal saw Starry he became obsessed with her. "Stay back until I really need help, it seems like each year I am getting weaker and weaker." Culver said, Jackal was the only horse that had even come close to beating him in battle. "This not gonna be a good battle, but I'll be damned if I let him take Starry away from her family." Culver said, that should have been enough proof that he didn't really want Starry to be his mate, if he had he would have said he wouldn't let Jackal take her away from him not her family. Culver noticed how he had said it. Star pinned his ears when he heard Rain say Jackal's name. He snorted and whipped his head. "That stallion is alive!" He screeched "there is no way he is getting any of my family." He said flatting his ears to his head. He snorted and jerked his head around and stomped his foot. Star had a history with the stallion and it wasn't a good one either, they were enemy's for life, they only shared one goal was to see each other die. "I can't believe he's still alive." Star muttered under his breath, "I will see him die if its the last thing I do." He said under his breath again. He didn't run ahead with the other stallions cause he knew his sister would tell him it wasn't his business yet, so he stayed next to Rain. Starry nodded to Cloud. "I understand" she said nodding her head. She looked to Cloud and pricked her ears eager to hear what she was going to say. She listened intently to Cloud. She smiled at Cloud, "thanks, I love Culver, but like I would a brother. Hes always protected me from Jackal, Jackal tried more then once to get me last year and he has already tried a few times this year and each time Culver is getting closer to loosing." Starry said in a worried voice. "But Fire hes everything I am, hes a loner and a wanderer just like me. I don't know what my heart is telling me to do. I think its in a battle with my head, one is telling me to do whats in my heart and my head is telling to do the smart thing" she said shacking her head. She nodded and laughed when Cloud nudged her again, "yeah but I am still worried, Jackal scars me out of my wits, I can't go with him, hes scary and mean." She said so the foals couldn't hear her. "Member what he did to Crackle, that poor colt, wonder what happened to him." Starry said. Crackle was a yearling that got attacked the year before by Jackal and after he turned two years old he disappeared, and Starry was pretty sure he didn't join into Jackal's herd. Then she whipped her head up just realizing what Cloud had said. "Wait what!! They ran ahead! I have to go." She said darting off threw the herd. She was the fastest horse in the herd she, stopped before Culver and Fire saw her and followed them silently to where Jackal was. The black stallion raised his head when he heard horses getting closer. He smirked, "oh Culver come for the re-match have you" he said in a snide snobby voice. Culver flattened his ears. "If I remember correctly I won the last battle Jackal" he practically spat the name out like bad food. Jackal pinned his ears "well I see this time you didn't have the faith that you would win, I see you brought that pathetic little loner with you" he said in a aggressive voice. Culver stomped his foot, "hes a lot better then you are Jackal" he said shacking his head, it left a gross taste in his mouth every time he said Jackal's name. "Oh please.... I could kill that little runt before he could even blink" he said whipping his head. Starry could feel her heart beating fast she didn't want to see this battle but she needed to make sure Fire and Culver didn't get hurt. She felt rage roll threw her when Jackal insulted Fire, she felt a smile grow on her face when Culver stood up for him. 'Huh so you do like him' she thought about Culver and Fire.

Cloud's eyes gre wide with worry and Starry was off before Cloud could say a word. SHe knew it was hopeless anyways. Starry was the fastest in the herd.
Rain shook her head. "I know how strong you are and I would let you go because I trust you, but don't go to fight a fight that's not yours," Rain said to Star. She knew he wanted to go, but he couldn't. It really wasn't his fight.
Fire nodded, agreeing with Culver. He heard how Culver said her family and not him. He wondered if Culver meant it or was just trying to throw Fire off guard. HE ignored it and focused on Jackal. Fire could feel more rage boiling inside of him. He looked surprisingly at Culver. 'he's actually defending me...' Fire thought. But Fire could defend himself too. He may not be able to fight Jackal, but he could talk his way out of most anything. "Oh really, Jackal? Your one to talk," Fire said with a snort and a fake laugh. "How many times have you and Culver fought? And how many times have you won?" Fire laughed. "Oh, that's right. None. Your too weak," Fire said with a swish of his tail. Fire was digging his own grave here, but atleast it would keep Starry safe. And Culver could protect her. He didn't allow the tears come out. He would not be weak here in front of Jackal. "And atleast i'm not pathetic enough that I have to even fight Culver," Fire said. He turned his back and started to walk away from the herd slowly with a wink to Culver to let him know he didn't mean it. Fire had a plan, but he probably wouldn't survive it.

Star shook his head. He snorted and whipped his head again. "Fine I won't go but I will get my chance to fight him soon, no one gets the honer of killing him but me. I hate him!" He spat about the stallion.
Jackal flattened his ears and glared at Fire. "Listen here you weakling, you ever in your life talk to me like that again I will kill you and I mean I will track you down and kill you!" Jackal yelled and the thinking of a way to get to him he smiled smugly. "At least I didn't have to run from my family! At least I didn't abandon my family!" He said smugly. Culver snorted and jerked his head up. "No you didn't Jackal, you just fought your father and killed him and then the rest of your family and most of your herd!" Culver yelled at him. Culver had heard the story many times from Dancer, it was Jackal that led her old herd into a trap that killed her two sisters. He had also kicked her brother out of the herd after he almost killed him in a battle. And this was the score Star had to settle with him, he had thought he saw Jackal die in the trap but he hadn't he had abandoned everyone to save himself. Jackal almost lost it at Culver, he reared and landed hard and neighed deeply in a challenge. "your gonna regret the day you were ever born!" He yelled and stomping his foot again.
Culver laughed at Jackal. "If you knew anything about me Jackal... You'd know that I already regret the day I was born into the human world." He said rearing and returning the challenge. Culver looked to Fire with a little worry in his eyes. 'God what is he gonna do? It better not be to dangerous or Starry will kill me.' He thought watching Fire leave. He quickly looked back to Jackal he didn't want to take his eyes off of him. Culver trotted to the middle of the large clearing and circled with Jackal. They stopped about one foot apart and staring each other down. Culver took a deep breath and waited for the first blow it was his law never to start a fight he would never hit first. But he had no plan on letting Jackal hit him he just want his to strike first to mess up his power to block Culver's first hit.
Starry watched in fear as Culver yelled at Jackal. 'What is he talking about?' She thought to herself. She had never heard the story of her mothers old herd. So she knew none of Jackal's past and what Culver said about him gave her shivers and scared her a lot. She watched Fire leave. 'Whats he gonna do?' She thought with worry.

Rain nodded sympathetically and sighed. "You will have your chance soon," she promised she looked at Star with worry. "But I have to be there too," she said looking at him seriously.
Fire laughed. "Come do it then," he taunted. He tried to ignore the little worry in even Culver's eyes. If distracting Jackal didn't work, then he would sneak up in Jacckal. And if he sneaked up on Jackal and attacked him he would most likely distract him anyways. He turned to Jackal again. He would rather distract Jackal. Then he may have a chance at survival. A one in a million chance. "Unless your just a pathetic wimp. Oh wait, you are. So why bother?" Fire asked with a sly grin. If he lived he had to thank Culver, and ask him about his past. Fire remembered something Jackal had said. "And how do you know about my past? I didn't run away, they did. For the same thing i'm planning in my head," Fire said with what sounded like an evil laugh. It was all fake though. Fire was doing this all for Starry. Besides, he didn't really have a bad past. Sure, his whole herd and family had ran away from him and left him to die alone. It scared him at times, but it wasn't as bad as some other horse's pasts.

Star snorted. "Whats your history with Jackal?" He asked her. His revelry with Jackal went back years. But he was deeply interested in how Rain knew him.
Jackal almost lost his concentration on Culver when Fire spook to him. He brushed him off without paying attention to him. He flattened his ears and whipped his head, he whirled around to glare at Fire. "How dare you talk to me like that!" He yelled letting his guard about Culver go down. He snorted and whipped his head. "You think your the only one who has ever followed Starry around? When I found out some one was fallowing her around I figured out your past." He hissed. Culver took the chance he had to give the first blow. He reared and kicked Jackal in the side before jumping out of the way of Jackal's massive hooves. They came together just as thunder shook the ground again, the storm had found its way back to them. Jackal jumped away from Culver and they both braked when the ground shook. Culver snorted and him and Jackal reared and started fighting again. They slammed together and jumped around each other biting and ripping at each other.
Starry could feel her heart trying to bust out of her chest. She watched Culver and Jackal fight. Culver had a lot of blood on him but no more then Jackal had but Jackal was black so it was harder to see.
Dancer plowed threw the tall grass she had seen Starry run ahead and she wasn't happy about her daughter putting herself in danger.

Fire smiled for a split second. He saw Culver attack and knew it would be harder to get Jackal's attention. Fire finally stopped slowly walking away and turned, stopping just out of range of Jackal's hooves. "I know i'm not the only stallion to follow her around! She's too good for that! She's too good for you! Your no better than me! Your just as bad as a forcer, probably worse. If she goes with you what do you think will happen? She'll die. I want to die before her. I'll die here today if it keeps you from getting to her!" Fire yelled every word of it. Rage was boiling inside him like it never had before. He had to restrain himself from going into the fight. It was so hard for him though. "There is no word to describe you. Your pathetic. Your a murderer. Your nearly a forcer. Your just a pathetic wimp that has no other family. You may have a herd, but it doesn't count. I bet the only reason they allow you in the herd is because they felt sorry for you. Your just.... you know what? There is literally NO word to describe you," Fire said shaking with anger. He had a feeling Jackal would attack him, but now he really didn't care anymore. It was about Starry, and he meant every word he had said. He loved Starry, and will die here today for her if he has to. Fire decided to add more taunting Jackal, to get him away from Culver and distract him. "If you really weren't a pathetic wimp, you would have killed me now," Fire said with narrow eyes.
Rain turned to Star and sighed. "He's as bad as a forcer. He is trying to take your sister's daughter now. Of course he has tried to take others before. Thank god Buzz is in my herd. He may not be very strong, but he has ways to deal with horses like Jackal," Rain said, not completely answering Star. "Besides, it's not about what he did to me. It's about me wanting to be with you and help you," Rain said. She thought a moment. Did she have a thing for Star? She ingnored it. 'Now is not the time...' she thought to herself.

Jackal whipped his head in a circle and broke away from Culver to look at Fire. He swished his tail and whipped his head in anger. "How dare you call me what my father was! He was worse then a forcer! I was happy the day I got to watch him die! After everything he did to my mother I was sickened to look at him! And my mother was sickened to look at me after I saved her from the pain he caused her!" He yelled with as much force as he could, he hatted nothing more then his father and even being called something remotely close to what he was made him sick and angry. He reared and stomped his hoof, then he smirked. "You know what I am better then you, I can protect my herd. I was let into the herd out of respect for my ability to serve the herd, you were taken in cause you knew the leaders daughter!" He spat in Fire's face. "Fine you want to die? Then I will gladly take that honer in killing you!" Jackal yelled and reared in front of Fire slashing down with his broken hoof, the break in the hoof made almost like a knife, he hit Fire's jaw. He dropped and looked Fire in the eyes, "don't go judging me when your precise Starry comes from the same herd legacy as me" he said shacking his head.
Culver's eyes widened when Jackal hit Fire in the face. Culver galloped and attacked again, but Jackal got the better and kicked his face and then his neck knocking the wind out of him. Culver knew what Jackal wanted he wanted both him and Fire to go to the ground to him. Culver felt a pain in his head as he was kicked again. He fell to the ground out of dizziness, his golden body covered in blood. Jackal dropped his head. "You finally lost and now your in your place" He said to Culver and turned back to Fire. "Starry comes from the same herd I did her bloodline runs from my old herd. So don't you dare call me a forcer when her own father wasn't any better then me!" He yelled at him. He reared again and hit Fire again. "When her bloodline is just like mine!" He yelled again. Culver opened his eyes and looked to Fire and shook his head to tell him he was getting up and finishing this. He struggled to his feet and waited for Jackal to notice.
Starry almost gave up her hiding spot when she heard her father be called no better then Jackal she may not have known her bloodlines but she knew they were better then his. Even if they weren't she thought they were.
Star looked to Rain. Star lowered his head, he was always kind and sweet but there had been a time that he had been no better then Jackal and he was deeply ashamed with his past. "He went after Dancer years back, but he couldn't have her. So now it makes since that he wants her daughter he always liked our legacy and wanted an heir from our family" Star said to Rain. It was Jackal trying to take his sister that made him stop being friends with him they were youngsters together and had always been long time friends till Jackal wanted Dancer and that was the last straw and they became enemies.
Dancer came to a stop when they came upon the battle. She felt like crying when Culver went down to the ground. A spark of joy came into her when he raised himself off the ground. She felt rage run threw her body when Jackal insulted her dead mate and she stomped her foot and snorted she hatted Jackal with all her heart and soul. She felt fear rise up in her when Jackal started to say what her family legacy was. 'What will my herd think when they find out where I came from?' She thought to herself.
Culver saw the worry in Dancer's eyes, he knew the story of how she lost her two sisters but he didn't know her legacy or bloodlines and they didn't seem to be very good and he knew she didn't want her herd to know what it was. He took a deep breath and in a shaky voice he spoke to Jackal. "How dare you insult Starry's father that way" he said lunging into a fight again with him this time getting the upper hand.
Starry saw her herd and felt hope for the battle but none of the herd helped Culver. She saw the look in her mothers eyes and she felt worry that this time Culver was going lose and she knew Fire couldn't fight on his own either.
(Jackal will tell their whole Legacy in my next post)
